At 17:00 on 13th June we're running a short Bid Writing Clinic in London specially for SMEs. This is being chaired by Stephen Allott from the Cabinet Office and hosted by Intellect (Russell Square House, 10-12 Russell Square, London WC1B 5EE).

 

 

Research / lobbying: where worlds collide

Especially in the light of the A4e and Jeremy Hunt debacles, lobbying is probably perceived by most citizens as a bad thing. It is regarded as an attempt by often already powerful groups, usually businesses, to direct even more power and wealth in their direction.

We are told that the way the UK Government procures services is being radically changed but to me it looks more like a radical reshuffle.

A UK Cabinet Office source recently told a colleague that consultancies such as our's would soon be rendered redundant because frameworks such as the UK G-Cloud contract would make procurements too rare and easy to require the sort of services we offer. Since then, more than 250 suppliers have been selected on the G-Cloud framework....
